There is no single price for a website in Nepal, because there is no single kind of website. The cost depends on what the site needs to do, and the difference between a small business site and a full online store is bigger than most people expect.
What actually changes the price
Our web development packages start around NPR 45,000 for a business site and range up from there. That range is wide for a reason: the scope is what moves it.
- How many pages and sections the site needs.
- Whether it is a simple brochure site or something with accounts, payments, or custom features.
- How much custom design and branding is involved.
- Whether you need content, photography, or copywriting done too.
- How the site is hosted and who maintains it after launch.
Where the money goes
A serious quote is not just for the code. Design, development, testing on real devices, performance and search setup, and launch support all carry real work. When we price a project, the number reflects the whole job, not just the last week of it.
We also test what we ship. A site that looks right on a designer's laptop but breaks on a budget Android phone is not finished, and we do not bill it as finished.
The cost of going too cheap
A site built for a few thousand rupees can feel like a bargain until the shop owner's phone rings with a customer reporting a broken checkout or a page that does not load. Cheap sites often have weak hosting, no backups, no security updates, and no one to call.
If the number seems far too low, ask what happens a year later. A website without maintenance quietly ages, and the repair bill usually costs more than doing it right the first time.
How to budget
Start with what the site must do, not what it should look like. Tell your developer the goal: take bookings online, sell three products, make your portfolio look serious. A good quote follows from a clear brief, so we spend real time on this before pricing.
And remember the running costs. Hosting and a simple maintenance plan keep the site alive and healthy, and they are a recurring cost on top of the build.
